AI readiness assessment
The Cortexys AI readiness assessment is an anonymous online survey run before corporate training to establish how employees use AI, what they understand, how they judge security situations and what they want to learn. Results go to the training lead as a report aggregated by job family and feed curriculum design, cohort grouping and PoC discovery.

What it measures
Modules come in four groups. They are chosen to fit your environment and goals, and drawn from a maintained item bank.
Current use
Who uses which tools, how often, where they get stuck, and whether they have used unapproved tools — all anonymously.

How it runs
It runs one to two weeks before the first session. The only task on your side is forwarding the link.
- 01
Choose modules and job families
Modules are added or removed to fit your environment and training goals. Developer-only items appear only to developer roles.
- 02
Respond from a single link
Nothing to install and no login. Employees open the link and respond anonymously, once per device.
- 03
Report for the training lead
Composition by job family, environment, scores by area, cross-tabs and training needs, delivered as a shareable link that saves to PDF.
What the results change
The assessment exists to fit the training to your organisation. Each number in the report maps to a curriculum or delivery decision.
Curriculum design
Low-scoring areas and stated needs decide how much weight each topic gets.
Cohort grouping
Large gaps between job families mean separate groups; similar levels run together.
Security training scope
Unapproved-use findings and judgement results set the depth of the security module.
PoC discovery
Repetitive tasks people want to hand to AI become the first PoC candidates after training.
Before-and-after
Run the same configuration again after training to compare change by job family.
Anonymity and protection
The assessment is only useful if people answer honestly, so the rules that protect respondents come first.
Anonymous only
No item asks for a name or employee number. The first screen states results are not used for appraisal or HR.
Aggregates only
Results are aggregates by job family. Groups under 3 respondents are hidden, and a lone hidden cell takes a second with it to prevent back-calculation.
Fixed retention
Responses are deleted after the retention period following close. Report links expire and can be revoked.
Short, before training
The default is 26 items in about 17 minutes. A "don't know" option on scored items keeps guessing out of the score.
Frequently Asked Questions
Anonymity, time required and how results are used, answered before you run the assessment.
Can individual respondents be identified?
No. The assessment is anonymous only, with no item asking for a name or employee number. Results are reported as aggregates by job family, and any group with fewer than three respondents has its figures hidden. The response screen opens by stating that results are not used for individual appraisal or HR decisions.
How long does it take to respond?
The default configuration takes around 15 minutes. Adding or removing assessment modules for your organisation changes the time, and developer-only items appear only to developer roles. It opens from a single link with nothing to install and no login.
What do we receive as results?
The training lead receives a report through a shared link. It covers response counts, job-family composition, the AI environment in use, comprehension scores by area, cross-tabulations by job family and what participants want from the training. It can be saved to PDF from the browser, and the link has an expiry date and can be revoked.
Does it cover closed networks and unapproved AI use?
Yes. It asks what AI access participants have from their work PCs, and anonymously whether they have used tools the company has not approved and what material they entered. The purpose is to ground security training and set the scope of the programme, not to catch anyone.
